Reef Relief has been engaging volunteers and leading Marine Debris Removal Projects since 2010. These events are hosted throughout the Florida Keys but primarily the Lower Keys (7-Mile Bridge down). Since 2010, Reef Relief has removed over 200,000 lbs of marine debris from the environment! We typically partner with other groups to execute these events. Through these partnerships, we are able to access critical habitat, boat-based transportation, kayak donations, etc maximizing our impact. Waste Management continues to be a huge supporter in this, frequently picking up trash after the event for free.
