All internships are unpaid, however small stipends may be possible depending on available funding and internship position. Part time internships do not receive a stipend. Full time internships are expected to spend 4 work days with Reef Relief, whereas Part time are expected to spend 2 work days. Full Time employment is expected 40 hours per week.

Job Description: The Education Coordinator is responsible for providing marine science education to students within the Monroe and Miami-Dade County school districts and supporting Reef Relief community outreach programs. They will create new and engaging curriculum for students in preschool through high school and present interactive lessons in classrooms, at summer camp, and in the field. The Education Coordinator will work closely with and report to the Assistant Executive Director and Education Director. Additional responsibilities include producing educational content for social and earned media platforms, assisting with biannual fundraisers, editing, and maintaining educational information on the Reef Relief website, and producing new content for our Virtual Marine Science classroom.

Interns selected will help to organize and staff events, promote Reef Relief and its programs, present classroom lessons on marine science, assist in school field trips to the Key West Marine Park, the barrier reef off of Key West, and the Dry Tortugas National Park, help run Spring Break Coral Camp and help maintain the Key West Marine Park Buoys as needed. This internship is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience in marine education and conservation.
