These turtles live around coral reefs and in shallow coastal waters, and eat a variety of reef -associated species including seagrasses, jellyfish, sponges and shrimp. Hawksbill Turtles earned their name from their small, narrow heads with r\pronounced sharp beaks. It is common to find their nests on beaches near their feeding grounds.
